This small gastropod is one of the most common in the Pierre Shale. A good reference for Pierre Shale gastropods is N. F. Sohl. 1967, "Upper Cretaceous Gastropods from the Pierre Shale at Red Bird, Wyoming," USGS Prof. Paper 393-B. (Length of gastropod 1.5 cm.)
